"I am a hybrid - series of selfportraits"(resins & drawings)

“I am a hybrid” Around 1870, “phylloxera” threatened all wine production in Europe. It was discovered that the grafting technique could create hybrid vines making them resistant to disease. This method is still used today.  The vineyards are the landscape of my childhood. People carrying multiple cultures could be considered as grafts; I myself am an example of a French/Danish graft, a living metaphor of several cultures that have created their own hybrid.
